PrusaSlicer is a Free application provided by Prusa to slice and prepare 3D Files for 3D Printing.

  1. Using your web browser, navigate to the following Web page: https://www.prusa3d.com/drivers/
  2. Click “Download” under Drivers & Apps to download the latest version of PrusaSlicer

  3. Once the application has been downloaded, run and install PrusaSlicer.
  4. Once the application has been installed, launch PrusaSlicer. You will be greeted by the Configuration Wizard

  5. On the configuration wizard, select NEXT
  6. On the Prusa FFF Technology Printers screen, scroll down to the MK3 Family of printers and under the Original Prusa i3 MK3S & MK3S+ make sure the 0.4mm nozzle checkbox is checked, then select FINISH.
    1. Make sure no other printers are selected or they will be added and could cause slicing issues. Currently, the Technology Commons only supports the i3 MK3S printer from Prusa.
  7. You should now have a virtual i3 MK3S build plate.
