Adding a Shared Mailbox to Outlook
Before you can add a shared mailbox to Outlook, you must first confirm with the mailbox owner (or head of your department) that you have been given sufficient privileges to do so. Once you have been granted access, follow the instructions below to add the mailbox to Outlook. If you do not have access yet, your direct supervisor will need to submit the Access Request form: Departmental Email Access Request Form
Office 365 Online - Any Operating System

Log in to https://signon.stjohns.edu, and click on the Office 365 Mail app to access Outlook Web.

Right-click on the item that says “Folders” and select “Add Shared Folder”

Type in the email address of the account that you wish to add:

You will notice that the account will now appear in your Microsoft Outlook under your Inbox
How to Open a shared mailbox in a separate window

Log in to https://signon.stjohns.edu, and click on the Office 365 Mail app in order to access Outlook Web.
In the upper-right corner of your account, click on your avatar.

Click “Open another mailbox”

Enter the email address associated with the shared mailbox, and then click OPEN.
Another window will open containing the Inbox of that Shared Email address.
