(blue star) Problem:

Attempting to submit a Formstack form results in the following error:

We could not find the specified user. Please make sure the information is correct and try again.

(blue star) Instructions:

When submitting a Formstack form where you are asked to provide an email address for another person, make sure to check the spelling and domain of the email you entered.

When asked to provide an email address, all users should strive to use their assigned @stjohns.edu or @my.stjohns.edu email address. This ensures that communications are properly routed and workflow assignments if any are properly assigned. Users must exist within our Formstack account to partake in a Formstack Workflow.

If the following error occurs with a verified @stjohns.edu address the user you are trying to have assigned a step in a Workflow must do the following:

Employees Account Setup

  1. Login to SignOn (signon.stjohns.edu)

  2. Locate the Formstack Button in your SignOn Dashboard and click on it to open Formstack

  3. If you are asked to agree to the terms and services, please check the “You have read and agree to all of the above” check box and click “Proceed to Your Account”.

  4. Once you have agreed to the Terms, you will be brought to the Formstack Admin dashboard. Once on the dashboard, that user can then be assigned a participant step in a Formstack Workflow.

Student Account Setup

By default, students will not have the Formstack Button on their SignOn dashboard. If you require a Student to be assigned a Workflow participant step in Formstack, please open a New Formstack Account request, provide the requested information and select “Formstack Participant User…” from the dropdown list.
