How do I log into Formstack via Formstack.com
Accessing Formstack is easy. You may be prompted when trying to access a form or if you wish to login directly. In a few simple steps, users will be logged into their Forms or Workspace tabs within Formstack.
Instructions
Navigate to formstack.com
Under “Login” select “Forms” to display the login window.

At the Login window, enter your @stjohns.edu or @my.stjohns.edu email address and click “Log into Formstack”

You will now be prompted with a password field as well as a new login button titled “Log in with SignOn”. Click the “Log in with SignOn” button

You will now be directed to signon.stjohns.edu and asked to login. Enter your St. John’s University email address and password you use to access SignOn.
You may be prompted to approve your login using one of your authentication methods. If so, follow the on-screen prompts.
You will now be logged into Formstack.
How do I log into Formstack via Sign
Accessing Formstack is quite simple with SignOn. In a few simple steps, users will be logged into their Forms or Workspace tabs within Formstack.

When you are taken to Formstack, click the “Open Forms” link under your App Stack
Click the “Workspace” tab to be taken to your assigned tasks within Formstack.
I’m receiving multiple emails from Formstack <[email protected]> informing me that I have been assigned a step in a workflow and to click a link in my email to complete work.
Instructions
Users do not need to be concerned with emails from [email protected]. Formstack is a university verified application for generating digital forms. Users on occasion may get emails like the one above informing them they have been assigned a task inside of Formstack. Users can click the links within the form or navigate to signon.stjohns.edu to access Formstack.

Click the “Workspace” tab to be taken to your assigned tasks within Formstack.
Problem
Users clicked “Save and Resume” at the bottom of a Form and copied or emailed a copy of the custom URL to themselves but found when resuming the form that information that should have been saved was missing.
Instructions
Known Issue - A bug has been discovered with Save and Resume where long text fields may not be saved properly with large quantities of text added to them. For forms with numerous large text fields where the user may have to enter lots of text, it is advised to create or save the text between sessions in a word or notepad document.
When signing into Formstack or to a Form, user gets a “403 App Not Assigned” error.
Instructions
Users who attempt to login to Formstack but find that they have not been assigned access to the app, should open a support ticket within ITHelp to get access assigned.
I’m logging into Formstack for the first time and I’m getting a prompt to agree to terms and services:

As Formstack is a cloud provided service, there are terms and services that each user must agree to to use the platform.
Check the “You have read and agree to all of the above” box
Click the “Proceed to Your Account” button to login to your Formstack account.
Problem:
A banner on the bottom of the screen has shown up saying something along the lines of “Action Required: Re-Authenticate your XXXXX integration by XXXXX”
Instructions
Users don’t need to be alarmed by these types of alerts. Formstack is just notifying users who use various integrations that they may need to make changes to keep their form integrations working properly.
Users can click the “X” on the top right of this banner to dismiss the alert.
If you are a Form builder utilizing the indicated integration, please follow the instructions provided by Formstack to address your integration issue.
In SignOn, a user selects the Formstack button and is directed to Formstack Administration but does not see Forms or Workspaces

To access Forms or Workspaces
Click the “Open Forms” button (red arrow above)
Formstack Forms will open and take you to either “Home” or “Workspace” depending on the license assigned to your account.
Attempting to submit a Formstack form results in the following error:
We could not find the specified user. Please make sure the information is correct and try again.
Instructions:
When submitting a Formstack form where you are asked to provide an email address for another person, make sure to check the spelling and domain of the email you entered.
When asked to provide an email address, all users should strive to use their assigned @stjohns.edu or @my.stjohns.edu email address. This ensures that communications are properly routed and workflow assignments if any are properly assigned. Users must exist within our Formstack account to partake in a Formstack Workflow.
Information passed from Signon.stjohns.edu to my form looks incorrect or inconsistent.
Instructions
On some forms, your personal information is supposed to autofill into form fields like first name, last name, email, and/or X-Number. Sometimes this information does not come over at all or incorrect information is added by accident. There is no need to worry, please simply edit those fields to correct any mistakes that show in those fields.
