As a presenter, you can use a poll to create and share questionnaires. Polls can be useful for gathering feedback, taking votes, or testing knowledge. The process for Windows and Mac is slightly different. See below to learn more.



Polling on Windows


  1. By default, Polling will not be enabled in Webex Meetings. To add it, in the Webex application, select View then Panels, and finally select Manage Panels (red arrow below) from the list




  2. On the Manage Panels page, select Polling (green box below) from the Available panels section and click the Add button (red arrow below). Then click the OK button (blue box below).





  3. On the right-hand side of your Webex screen, you will now see a Polling tab. Using the Type dropdown, select the type of question you would like to create.







  4. Next select New (blue box below) to create a new question of your selected type. Type in your question (red box below).





  5. When you are done entering your question press the Enter on your keyboard, or by clicking the Add button (green box above), to begin entering your answers for that question.


  6. Repeat this process for as many questions and answers you would like to add.


  7. When you are ready to open the poll to your participants, click the Open Poll button (red arrow below).



If you want to record an individual’s response to your polls, check the Record individual responses check box above the Open Poll button.


Polling on Mac


  1. By default, Polling will not be enabled in Webex Meetings. To add it, in the top bar, select View then Panels, and finally select Manage Panels (red arrow below) from the list




  2. On the Manage Panels page, select Polling (green box below) from the Available panels section and click the Add button (red arrow below). Then click the OK button (blue box below).





  3. On the right-hand side of your Webex screen, you will now see a Polling tab. Click the Add a Question button (blue box below) to create a new question.






  4. Type in your question and click the Add an Answer button (green box above) to add your answers. To change the question type, click Click here to change question type (green box below) and choose between the 3 types of questions





  5. Repeat this process for as many questions and answers you would like to add.


  6. When you are ready to open the poll to your participants, click the Open Poll button (red arrow below).





If you want to record an individual’s response to your polls, check the Record individual responses check box above the Open Poll button.
