1. Open your Canvas course

  2. Go to the Modules tab

  3. Find the appropriate Module and click the “+” icon (see image below)

  1. In the Drop-down menu select “external tool.” A list of options will appear - scroll down to and then click “Office 365” (see image below)

  1. A window that looks like a black-and-white version of OneDrive will appear on your screen. Find and select the file you wish to share with your class. Once the file is checked off, click “Attach File” in the bottom corner of the window. See image below.

  1. You will then be brought back to the page where you selected Office 365 from the list of External Tools. Scroll down until you see the field that asks you to enter a Page Name. The default Page Name will be the name of the file. If you wish the item to appear as something else for your students inside of the module, change the information in the “Page Name” field. Once you are happy with the Page Name, click “Add Item.” See image below.

  1. Make sure to publish any content you are ready to share with your students.
