This article provides instructions on “ How to e-mail students in the Canvas”.
Click the inbox logo on the left-hand global navigation.
Select Compose New Message (the pencil & paper logo)
Select the course from which you wish to send the message in the “Course” drop-down menu.
Click the address book icon to the right of the ‘To’ field
Select ‘All in [Course Name]’ to send a message to all users in the course. Alternately, manually select individual users to e-mail by selecting their names from the appropriate “Teachers” or “Students” menus.
Fill in your subject line by clicking into the subject box.
Type your text into the body.
Click Send.
