This LTI is scheduled to go live in Canvas effective 7 January 2025.


Lippincott® Connect is an integrated, digital learning solution for medical and allied health education and combines trusted content, tested technology, in-depth reporting, and an intuitive platform design to prepare students for practice.


How do I add this LTI to my course?

  1. Open your course in Canvas.

  2. In Course Navigation, select Settings, then select the Navigation tab.

  3. Scroll down until you find the “WK Lippincott Connect” tool, click the three dots, and select enable.

    1. Alternatively, click and drag the tool into the list of Enabled navigation items.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

  5. You should now see the WK Lippincott Connect tool in your Course Navigation menu.

    1. When you open it, you may be prompted to agree to an Authorization request. If prompted, please agree.



How do I link my account?

  1. Open your course in Canvas.

  2. In Course Navigation, click “WK Lippincott Connect.” If prompted, agree to the Authorization request.

  3. Select begin

  4. Enter the email address and password for your existing Wolters Kluwer account and click Log In.

    1. If you don’t have an account, please contact Wolters Kluwer support.



How do I pair my course?

  1. Open your course in Canvas.

  2. In Course Navigation, click “WK Lippincott Connect.” If prompted, agree to the Authorization request.

  3. Click Get Started

  4. Select “Create a new course on thePoint” then click Next.

  5. Select the Wolters Kluwer product you wish to use for the course. The list of eligible products that appears should populate from your My Products page on thePoint.

    1. If you don’t see your content, you will need to contact your WK sales representative for access.

  6. Complete the Course Details

    1. WK recommends that you set your course dates beyond the actual course end, as if it closes while students are still working within the Canvas course, it could impact the link between the courses.

  7. Once complete, you will be redirected to the WK Quick Links in Canvas, where you can access this new course on thePoint to create and manage assignments.

    1. The course will be marked as an LMS paired course. Your students will not need a course ID or class code to join your course; accessing through Canvas will successfully enroll them in a WK Lippincott Connect course.
