With Microsoft Teams, you can chat or make calls from anywhere - at work, at home, or on the go. Installing Microsoft Teams on your cellular device and signing in with your St. John’s University credentials gives you access to Teams Calls.

Microsoft Teams is available for FREE download through the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

The Teams app requires a cellular network connection or Wi-Fi internet for you to use for communication. It will not work without one of these connection types. For calls using the Teams app, while connected to a cellular network will not use “calling minutes” from your cellular plan.

Troubleshooting Issues with Microsoft Teams on your Mobile Device

If you are having issues accessing Microsoft Teams features on your mobile device, we recommend the following steps

  • Confirm you are connected to a cellular network or wifi network

    • If you are connected to your cellular network, try reconnecting to your mobile network or connecting to a wifi network

    • If you are connected to a wifi network, try reconnecting to another wifi network

  • If you recently changed your password, sign out of the app and sign back in with your updated credentials

  • Microsoft will release updates to the application on occasion. It is recommended that you keep up with the updates.

Like most apps, Microsoft will require iOS or Android minimum update standards. If the device you are attempting to use the app on does not meet these requirements, St. John’s University will not be able to assist in troubleshooting.
