The Elsevier Evolve 1.3 LTI is a tool available to provide access to Evolve products for instructors and students, directly in Canvas. Primarily focused on healthcare education, these digital teaching and learning materials are interactive and deliver an integrated course experience to support diverse learning needs.

To ensure you are using the 1.3 tool, which has the most updated resources and security, please ensure that you select the tool labeled Elsevier Evolve Link - LTI 1.3.

How do I add this LTI to my Canvas course?

Add an Evolve link to your Canvas course by adding it to modules.

  1. Navigate to your Canvas course and create a new module or use a pre-existing module to add the tool link

  2. Click the “plus” button to add content

  3. Select “External Tool” from the dropdown menu

  4. Select the Evolve 1.3 link in the list

    NOTE: The name of this link will vary based on the name given by your LMS admin. Please contact your admin if you are unsure of the correct link to click. If another pop-up screen shows for Evolve, exit that screen to return to your LMS screen.

  5. Name your link and add the URL from the below table, adding the specific ISBN for your product at the end of the link. Check for trailing spaces.

NOTE: If you need to link a product not listed above, contact your Elsevier Evolve Customer Success Manager as they will want to ensure the product’s LTI functionality meets your needs.

NOTE: If you do not have this, stop the process and contact your Elsevier Evolve CSM immediately for this URL link. You CANNOT link an already created Instructor-Led Evolve ID course. The LTI link will create a new instance of the course. If you already have an instructor-led course with students enrolled, do not create an external tool link and please contact your CSM.
