How do I export my email from my St. John’s Microsoft Outlook Inbox?

There are several options:

  • Forward any particular individual email from your University account to a personal account.

  • Print any individual email to PDF

    • Click on the email.

    • In the upper-right corner, locate the “3 dots” menu and click on “Print.”

    • Set the Print Location to “Save as PDF”, then click SAVE.

  • Save any individual email as an .eml or .msg file. These will be files that can only be accessed from an email client, such as Windows Mail, or Apple Mail, installed on your respective computer.
    .

    • Click on the email.

    • In the upper-right corner, Locate the “3 dots” and hover over “Download”.

    • You will have the option to download as an EML (generic email format) or a MSG (Microsoft format).

  • If you have the version of Outlook where you have your University email set up in the desktop version on a computer, you can back up your email files to a PST file. This will allow you to move all email to another computer.
