Personal Folders in Panopto provide all users with a private sandbox for creating and sharing videos. This documentation walks you through how to find the My Folder in Panopto. You can access from either the Panopto Video LTI in Canvas, or from https://stjohns.hosted.panopto.com/. If you are a student, you should access from the Panopto website directly for best results.

How do I access from https://stjohns.hosted.panopto.com/ ?

Go to https://stjohns.hosted.panopto.com/ and log in
.If you don’t know how to sign into Panopto, please see our IT Help article, “How do I log into Panopto?” (linked)

Look at the menu on the left side of your screen and click “My Folder.”

You should now see your personal Panopto folder.

How do I access from Canvas?

Log into Canvas and open a course that has the Panopto Video LTI enabled. Click Panopto Video from the course navigation menu.
.If you haven’t enabled Panopto Video in your Canvas course and need some assistance, please see our IT Help article, “Panopto Video LTI Support” (linked).

Find the folder icon towards the top of the Panopto window, where you should see the name of your course. In the screenshot below, it is listed as “Default Term - IT Testing.” This is a drop-down menu; click it.

The list that appears will show you every Panopto folder that you have access to. Find and select “My Folder” in the list.

You should now be looking at your personal Panopto folder inside of the Panopto Video LTI in Canvas.
