Where can I send a fax on campus?
On the Queens Campus, you can send a fax from the IT Service Center in Newman Hall and the Print and Distribution Center in the Red Storm Battalion Army ROTC.
When can I send a fax from these locations?
The IT Service Center is open during the Fall and Spring Semester Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm, Friday 8am - 3pm. During the intersessions, the IT Service Center is open from Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 3pm.
The Print and Distribution Center is open year around Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm, and Friday, 8:30am - 4pm.

Who can send a fax from these locations?
All members of the St. John’s University community is able to access the fax machines.
How will I be notified when a fax comes in?
If you need to receive a fax, it is recommended that you be present in the space. Both locations are open spaces. IT is not responsible for delivering or notifying individuals that a fax was received. Any faxes received will be discarded if you are not present.
Our department currently receives an email when we get a fax. Will we still be receiving emails when someone faxes our line?
It is highly recommended that you and your department begin transitioning to email to share information. You will no longer receive an email when your department’s fax line is decommissioned.
Can our fax number forwarded to the IT Service Center or Printing and Distribution Center?
No fax numbers will be forwarded to the two locations.
What happens when someone faxes our number after the number is no longer in service?
Once the fax number is no longer in service, if a fax is sent to that number, the sender will receive a “No longer in service” communication back. This notification is not customizable and we can not provide them with an updated number.
We currently have a physical fax machine in our office. When will it be removed?
Fax machines are currently being decommissioned as departments are converted to teams or fax machines malfunction. If you have a fax machine you would like to be removed, submit: Remove Hardware Request
If you have a copier/printer/fax combination unit, the fax feature will become disabled.
