A.) ALL CURRENT STUDENTS, FACULTY, OR STAFF MEMBERS:
If you are a current student, faculty, or employee, and have logged in to the Sign-On Portal before, please follow these instructions to access UIS.
**All FORMER employees and students, please see the steps in "Section C" below.
1. Log in to the Sign-On Portal: https://signon.stjohns.edu
(If you have not logged in to the Sign-On portal for the first time yet, please follow these instructions: Sign-on Portal Instructions)
2. Click on the UIS application tile within the portal:
B.) FIRST-TIME NEW USERS
Upon opening the UIS application tile for the FIRST time, you will be prompted to complete the following information before being directed to the UIS main menu.
Once completed, you will not be prompted for this again.
Security Question/Answer
1. Confirm your identity by entering your default UIS PIN number.
*This PIN is separate from your Sign-On Portal password.
The default PIN is in the following format: Capital S, Lowercase j, 8 digits of your X# without the X
Example: Sj01234567 (if the X# is X01234567)
2. Create a security question and corresponding answer.
3. Click Submit.
Emergency Notification information is used to notify students via SMS alerts when there is an emergency on campus, send alerts of campus closures due to inclement weather, etc. The phone number entered here should be the Student's cell phone number and not that of a guardian.
1. If you are opting into the Emergency Notification System (Strongly recommended), please check the "Number is current" box.
(* If you are unable to provide a contact number, you may choose to opt-in later by selecting "I choose not to provide an EN number."
2. Enter an Area Code number and a Phone number.
3. Then, click "Submit Changes."
Once completed, the following confirmation screen will appear. You can now click on the "Return to Menu" link at the top to be brought to the main menu.
C.) Alumni (Former students that no longer have email access)
The following credentials are required for logging in:
**If you do not remember your X number, it can be found on a tuition statement or transcript. If not found, you may also contact the Registrar's office: (718) 990-1339.
