1. Log in to Connect
There are several ways to log in to the Connect app.
This can be done by downloading the St. John’s U Connect mobile App or visiting https://connect.stjohns.edu - (See: How do I log in to Connect?)
or by logging in to the Sign-On Portal and clicking “Connect.”

2. In Connect, locate the Widget labeled “New UIS Experience.”
(**If you do not see this widget on your dashboard, please click on the button at the top that says “Find New Widgets.” )

Faculty members should have the “Faculty Courses” card on their dashboard.
(If you do not see it, you can add it through discovery by clicking on the blue “Discover More” button at the bottom of the page.)
Locate the Faculty Grading (Non-Law) card and click on Early Alert.
If the screen pops up below, please click LOG IN WITH SAML button.
Select and enter the following information to submit the Early Alert:
Section
Student
Nature of Concern (Academic, Behavioral, Mental Health or Personal) and select which concerns apply
Enter specific details/examples of the concern(s)
Best way to contact you
Provide details related to your communication with the student
Click SUBMIT EARLY ALERT FOR STUDENT button.
The request will now go to the Department that handles the nature of the concern. The faculty and student (if “Yes” is selected) will receive an Early Alert email notification.
