Summary


These are instructions on how to complete an Online Access Request for an individual. These instructions are intended to be completed by a Manager/Supervisor/Department Head or by Human Resources and not by the individual requesting access.

  1. Visit the IT Help Portal: https://ithelp.stjohns.edu, click on the "SIGN IN" link in the upper right corner.


  2. The page will reroute to have you login via the Sign-On Portal. (If you have not signed into this site before, please see these instructions: How do I log in to the Sign-On portal?)


  3. Click “Request New Service”:



  4. Click on “Accounts and Access”:


  5. Click on the Access Request Form – Click Here to Begin



  6. Check the box ‘Request for someone else



  7. Add SJU e-mail address of the person needing the access



  8. Click on ‘Who is this access request for?’ – select the only option available



  9. Complete the biographical data requested



  10. Below under ‘Additional Items’, select the type of access the person needs



  11. Complete the required fields

  12. Click on ‘Place Request’ on the upper right to complete the request



  13. Online Access Request has been completed. Allow for 5 business days for processing. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation email. You may also check the status by logging back in to the IT Help Portal, https://ithelp.stjohns.edu, and clicking on "Your Tickets".
