Logging in for the first time, Set up Instructions
This is for individuals who have never logged in to the Sign-On Portal and need some assistance completing the setup process.

My Password isn't working, and I need to reset it.
If you have logged in to the Sign-On Portal before but do not remember your password, we have some helpful steps to reset it yourself.

I am receiving an error that says that my account is locked.
If you entered your password incorrectly too many times, this can lock your account. This guide will walk you through unlocking your account.
Once it is unlocked, you can use the link above to reset your password.

I received an email that says my password is expiring soon. How do I change it?
Passwords must be changed every 180 days. When changed, passwords must be a minimum of 10 characters long, and contain at least one: capital letter, lowercase letter, number, and a special character, such as: ! @ # $ % & * . Passwords may not repeat any of your previous 5 passwords.

I have a new phone or a new phone number to use for my security information for Multi-factor Authentication. How do I change it?
It is required that you enable Multifactor Authentication or MFA. There is the ability to use an authentication app called Okta Verify. Okta Verify works if you have cellular or WiFi service.

I do not have a device compatible with Okta Verify. What are my options?
For individuals without a device that is compatible with OKTA Verify, contact the IT Service Desk at 718-990-5000 or visit the IT Service Center to discuss further options.
